The day of Europe, commemorating the Schuman declaration, was on May the 9th. French students worked with the Polish students, to create a European Celebration. They had to share their ideas and prepare actions. This week was made to celebrate a lot of things like peace, solidarity and unity in Europe and in our schools.
During several months, a Polish and a French class have worked together and discovered European celebrations.

Wall of Hands

We have decorated a wall with hands, all the students got involved to make one hand each.
The Polish students sent their hands and we have added them to our wall. We have enjoyed to work together with Mikołaj Ł and Piotr Ł and Antoni D.
Falco Maiwenn and Elsa.

Logo

We really loved to do the logo and the catchphrase and seeing the logo everywhere was incredible ! It was on every wall, door and even the classrooms. It was so fun ! « I am so happy ! » said Chloé when she saw the logo in her classroom.
The catchphrase « Let’s celebrate together » was known by everyone in the school. With our class we filmed ourself saying the sentence.
So, this week was fun and we did so many things !

Decorations

Before the European week we have worked with Hanna, Dominik, Olivia and Ola, to know where the decoration will be.
We have decorated the school with flags, guarlands, and an exhibition on Lublin. The students liked it.
We have liked to put  the decoration. And we liked to speak with the Polish students, Hanna, Dominik, Olivia, Ola.
It was a good project, and we have learnt new things.

European Cuisine

To prepare European dishes, we have spoken to the chef. We came up with food ideas and he chose which ones could be done.
We prepared food posters with recipes, countries and cities. On Monday, we ate bolognese lasagna, on Tuesday we ate chorizo, Thursday Hungarian Goulash and on Friday a paella.
People loved this week. Our posters were displayed in the corridors of the self so the students looked at the posters. We have good return for the European Week. The dishes were delicious.
We asked the students what was their favorite dish and it was paella and lasagna !

One class, one country

« During European week of Europe, we made posterwith Polish students to define the flag of each class.
Just before the European week we hung them on the classroom doors.
On Friday we had to dress in the colour of our flag to take a picture at noon.«

I prefered group pictures because it was funny to dress in the different colors of a flag.

European presentation

Before the week, Loanne, Eléa and Alix have worked on the presentation with 3 students during 2 weeks. Their names are Maria, Kinga and Maria. We made a presentation about Europe on a platform called Genially. It contains the definition, the number of countries and holidays in the EU, monuments in Europe and interesting facts.
When we finished the presentation all students presented this presentation to all the classes of the two schools. Students liked learn more about Europe, they were very dynamic.

The activity I most enjoyed doing this week was presenting our presentation. I appreciated it because all the classes we could go to were active, they participated, they asked us questions. I really enjoyed these exchanges that were with other classes than ours, we have gotten to know new people.

A quiz about Europe

Before the European week, we spoke with Polish students and we have created a quiz. We have shared our ideas on the Twinspace.
After created it, we have proposed the quiz at all students and they have been encouraged to participate. The quiz was made in the French school and in the Polish school. At the end of the celebration, we have seen which school had done better and which school has the most participants.
In the Polish school 63 students participated and in the French school, 152 students participated the school that won is the French school.
We liked the quiz because it has taught us surprising things and we have liked the quiz because we have created it.
